Access Fees
The AIRS Network Biobank and its participating centers are non-profit infrastructures. Part of the expenses incurred is used to maintain biobanking activities within these participating centers. Access costs are structured as cost recovery fees to sustain the existing infrastructure and enable its growth.
They take the following factors into account:
- Identifying and recruiting participants
- Time and materials required for banking
- Expertise in personnel, clinical evaluation and data collection
- Project-specific time and materials
Every project is unique. Claims for compensation vary according to the type of sample and the type of user (academic researchers or researchers from industry).
To obtain a cost evaluation, a letter of agreement to support a grant application or any other information, please contact the AIRS Network Biobank Coordinator or the staff of participating centers.
